The Internet has created an entirely new and dynamic primordial soup of individuals and organizations in cyberspace and, with it, unlimited opportunities for social networking. The Breast Health & Healing Foundation is a new node in this evolving cyber-social-network, and we are pleased to have the ability to participate in the synergies that are forming and the alliances that are coming to life.
There are two critical elements in any network: the nodes and the relationship between the nodes. The fundamental nodes in our social network are the individual women who are at risk for breast cancer or who have been diagnosed with the disease. These are the people we serve — they are the most important nodes in our network.
All other members of the team of the Foundation, including other organizations with which we collaborate, work to serve the needs of these women as we strive to achieve the goals of our Mission Statement:
"To discover the specific causes of breast cancer around the world and to use this knowledge to prevent the disease."
The challenge for the Breast Health & Healing Foundation is to bring together men and women who are interested in discovering the causes of breast cancer, to connect them and to unite them.
The Internet has provided a new world of opportunities… it is now up to us to set our course and reach our goals, together.
